I haven't seen it, but I get what you mean. Must have been absolutely gutting for her, I'd imagine. Not many people get to see their husbands actually in the process of having an affair.

Sorry, another thing I thought of about perceptions, have you seen Mr and Mrs Smith with Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie? When they were kissing on the film it really seems more real than in normal films like they were actually making out and lots of the reviews said there was loads of chemistry between the two actors, can you imagine how Jennifer Aniston felt when she found out they were having an affair around the time it was filmed?

Agreed,
Also I often notice how perception depends almost entirely on what mood I am in. If I am in my depressive anti-social mood I hate every one and everything, no matter what is said to me I get annoyed, even if it was a very nice thing that was said. This is often followed by loud heavy music and often cleaning and playing with my guns.
However when I am in my happy, social mood I turn very naive and it takes an awful lot to convince me that something is wrong or not quite right. This has caused a lot of problems for me in recent years.

The whole perception thing is funny, like when I said your post was 'dreary' the other day and I meant it had quite a bleak outlook on things an you thought I meant boring.
Deceit is awful, I mean as if things aren't complicated enough, you then have someone pretending. I don't think it's naive, I just think it shows trust in people and that's a good thing.
It is interesting, if you can get two sides of a story seeing how people perceive the same event. Like when two people are courting or something and you get to hear what they both think of each other, or when outsiders think one is leading the other on and they have completely the wrong idea. First impressions are also odd perceptions too because when you get to really know someone they can really change.
